GLASS ART & DISTINGUISHED SIGNS

Mighty, Shiny Things
“We hope that you will be as dazzled as we are by these beautiful, artistic creations.”
We have been drawing, painting, creating and producing unique, promotional visual art and sales material in the form of print, photography, videos, displays, signs, and much more for many years under the umbrellas of corporate and educational marketing. But, the time has come to take a leap of faith and share the artwork that we love with the rest of the world, or at least far beyond our established historical reach. We have the professional skills and the artistic mojo to deliver in any of these areas of expertise. If we are a good fit for a specific project we would be happy to get involved to accomplish whatever is needed. However, we are blazing a new trail. Our attention is focused on high-end sign art. The HELLO sign design above is a glitzy example of where we are headed. It is meticulously gilded with authentic 12K and 23K gold leaf and painted with multiple colors. The creative array of possibilities in decorating substrates, especially glass, seems nearly endless. Browse our site and view more of our original glass art & distinguished signs. We hope that you will be as dazzled as we are by these beautiful, artistic creations. If you have any questions or if you have something a little different in mind we would love to discuss your idea and nail down some new creative solutions. Thanks for stopping by our website, we hope to see you soon.
Where It All Began
In our youthful years sign work was irresistible. So inspiring, for us it was like a magnet. The photograph of the ‘68 Camaro drag race car pictured here was our first big sign project, at least it seemed big then. There have been many other milestone projects along the way, but this one will always be unforgetable. Not because it is the best work that we have ever done, but because this is where we fell in love with graphic design & sign art. Where we changed ideas into designs and then painted them to reimagine the overall look of the race car. It stood out at the dragstrip and made the associated sponsors proud. It made people smile, helped strike up some great conversations and built community spirit with everyone who was involved and beyond. We share this in remembrance of good times and such heartfelt life experiences.
All of the artistic concept & design work for each sign was hand drawn on this race car. It was then hand painted, with the exception of the K&L Parts sign on the front fenders, where we used spectrum tape. At least that is what we called it then. Spectrum tape was hand cut vinyl with what is called an engine turned metallic finish. Today we create an even better look using genuine precious metal leaf. Each swirl of the engine turned texture is added with a twist at just the right time. The Irwin Automotive logo was swept toward the rear of the car at the top of the lettering on both sides. The paint colors of red, orange & yellow were blended with an airbrush. It not only looked fast, it was fast! See more examples of our artistry under the Our Work heading.
